In this dish, you can get a serving of fruit as well as 24 grams of protein all on the same plate!

The delicious blend of peanut butter, caramel, and yogurt not only satisfies your sweet tooth, but also supports your dietary goals. Crisp apple slices provide a refreshing and healthy bite, while the caramel dip enhances your intake with essential grams of muscle-building protein. Powdered peanut butter provides healthy fats as well as flavor, and a scoop of vanilla (or unflavored) protein powder packs a punch by adding even more grams of protein.

Recipe: Peanut Butter Caramel Apple Protein Dip

Makes 1 serving

Ingredients

  • 1 medium apple, sliced
  • 1/2 cup plain, non-fat Greek yogurt
  • 1/3 scoop vanilla protein powder
  • 2 tbsp PB2 or other powdered peanut butter
  • 2 tbsp caramel syrup

Directions

  1. Wash an apple under running water.
  2. Carefully cut the apple into slices or wedges.
  3. In a small bowl, mix the yogurt, protein powder, peanut butter powder and caramel syrup. Stir until the mixture is smooth and well blended.
  4. Arrange the apple slices on a plate.
  5. Serve with the peanut butter caramel apple dip and enjoy!
