Easy Sloppy Joes

- 2 lbs lean ground beef
- 2 tbsp minced garlic
- 1/4 cup white onion, diced (optional)
- 1/2 tsp each of salt and pepper
For the sauce:
- 3/4 cup reduced sugar ketchup
- 1/4 cup mustard
- 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 4 tsp chili powder
- 1-2 tsp cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
Directions
- In a large skillet, combine the ground beef, minced garlic, optional diced onion, salt, and pepper. Cook over medium heat until the beef is browned.
