When Sarah started at Anytime Fitness Forestbrook in January 2021, she was actually joining to supplement the fitness classes she was taking at a different gym. She had recently moved to the area, and she wanted to perform better in the classes while working out at a time that fit her schedule. She started a personal training program with Anytime Fitness and worked out with her coach, Jared, once a week.
Even though she’d only intended to supplement the fitness classes she was taking, Sarah saw so much progress with Coach Jared that she actually quit her membership at the other gym after just two months! She couldn’t believe how much she’d accomplished in such a short period of time, and was amazed at the progress that she’d made.
Growing up, Sarah was always overweight and hated gym class, but working out at Anytime Fitness changed her view of health and exercise.
“I’ve learned more about nutrition and exercise in the last four months than I have in my entire life,” she says.
Sarah loves working with Coach Jared to learn how to use the free weights for different muscle groups, and challenging herself to lift heavier every week. In the last four months, she’s lost 50 pounds!
As someone who recently moved to a new city, Sarah is proud not only of her progress, but of the community she’s found at the gym.
She said it best herself: “The gym has become my therapy and the people my friends!”
