Anytime Fitness is excited to partner with the Movemeant Foundation for our Move with AF Challenge. The Movemeant Foundation’s mission is to enable young women to feel confident about their bodies by empowering them with the tools to be active. You can support the Movemeant Foundation, and your own health and wellness goals, by joining the challenge! For each workout you log in the month of December, the HeartFirst Charitable Foundation will donate $1 to the Movemeant Foundation. You can join your local club’s team or join without a membership – we’d love to have you!
You can join the challenge and start logging your workouts with the Kilter app. Check out our get-started guide below.
How do I get started?
Start by downloading the Kilter app from the Apple App Store or Google Play. Sign up for an account, or if you already have one, log in. You’ll have the option to add a photo and your location, which you can skip. You’ll also be asked if you’re using Kilter in honor of a cause. You can skip this or take a moment to share your health journey with us!
How do I join the challenge?
Once your account is created, you’ll need to join the Move with AF event. We wouldn’t want all of those hard-earned workouts to go to waste! Navigate to the Events tab in the lower left corner and scroll down until you see the Move for AF Challenge. Click Join, and you’ll be prompted to select your team.
If you’re a member of one of our clubs, you can join your club’s team by searching for the city. If you live in a city with multiple clubs, such as Chicago, your club’s street address will also be listed.
If you aren’t a member, we’d still love to have you! Please select “0000 Non Anytime Fitness Member.” Thanks for joining the challenge—now, let’s log some workouts!
How do I log my workouts?
Once you create your account, you’ll have the option to connect your Kilter account to a fitness tracker. Kilter is compatible with Apple Health, Fitbit, Garmin, Google, Strava and UnderArmor.
No fitness tracker? No worries! There are two other ways you can track your workouts. One is by checking in when you visit your gym. Click the (+) icon at the top right of your dashboard and select Check into a Gym. When you’re within a 400 ft radius of your gym, you’ll be able to check in! If your gym isn’t on the list, click the Add Gym button and submit your gym name and address. It will be added within 48 hours. Please note that you’ll need to enable location services to track your workouts this way.
If you haven’t been working out at a gym, that’s okay! You can use that same (+) icon to log your workout manually. Simply select Manual Entry, choose the activity that fits you best, and enter the duration, date and a few details about your workout.
You can earn 100 points each day by logging your activity. Check out the Rules tab of the event to see how points are distributed. Learn more about Extra Mile Wednesdays, where you can earn an extra 25 points for going the extra mile in your workout. You’ll also receive a streak bonus of 100 points for logging activity five days in a row! (And yes, you can take that as a challenge.)
How do I raise money?
For every 100 points you earn HeartFirst Charitable Foundation will donate $1 to the Movemeant Foundation. You can also donate directly to the Movemeant Foundation by selecting Donate from the event page.
Want to get friends and family in on the fun? Have them sign up and track workouts with you or ask them to support the foundation and your own fitness goals by requesting donations. To request donations, visit the event page and select Get Donations. Enter the goal number of workouts you’d like to complete during the event (December 1 – 31), plus the amount you’re requesting from them, then click Share to send the request via text, email or other. Your friend will receive a link to keep track of your progress – so make sure you send it to someone who can cheer you on!
