And, that’s exactly what we did with these dark chocolate cherry bites.
We have a special place in our food-loving soul for chocolate-covered cherries, but instead of mowing down a whole box, we brought some of those flavors into a super healthy, protein-packed, real ingredient snack food that’s great for everyday eating. These bites are a healthful way to treat yourself while still staying on track! The best part? These delish bites come together in about 5 minutes, making them a great option for when you’re short on time.
5-Minute Dark Chocolate Cherry Snack Bites
Ingredients

cup unsalted almonds

Medjool dates, pitted
1/2
cup rolled oats
1/2
cup dried, unsweetened cherries
1
T water
pinch of salt, to taste
1/3
cup raw cacao nibs OR 1/4 cup dark chocolate chunks
Steps
Combine the almonds and dates in a food processor and process until the almonds are chopped into small pieces and the mixture is paste-like.
Add in the oats, cherries, water, and salt.
Pulse again until the mixture begins to form a “dough.”
Add the cacao nibs or dark chocolate, and pulse until just combined.
With damp hands, form the mixture into one-inch balls.
Store in an airtight container in the fridge.
